I grew to love succulents living in southern California. They survive with minimal water and fairly dry soils, making them the perfect plant for those who travel often. Life can get hectic at times, and I've killed many a house plant due to lack of attention to them ...
"We all need to be heard just like the Desert needs the Rain."
"Desert Rain" compliments "Infinite Energy" perfectly as a Diptych (two complimentary images next to each other). These desert flowers are known for their resilience in the heat. It was a steamy summer afternoon, the rain came and cleared the humidity in the air followed by late in the day creamy sunshine. My macro lens picked up the open shade and perfectly formed raindrops decorating the petals of this Aeonium Kiwi, a type of cactus, creating a nice paradox. I like the way they form perfect little circles and each have their own reflection.
Rain is beautiful and also has spiritual significance. In the Bible, rain is seen as a symbol of God's blessings and provision. In some spiritual belief systems, rain is viewed as a symbol of cleansing and purification. It's believed to wash away impurities and bring about a new beginning. I love that. And I love Desert Rain!
It makes the most stunning framed canvas print, but would look great on any media!!
